Conference looks at horse performance

Everyone interested in horses will find the forthcoming equine conference useful.
The Northern Ireland Equine Conference on Tuesday, March 20 2012 in the Armagh City Hotel, is being organised by the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) at 7.15pm.
The theme for the conference is 'Promoting Health and Performance in the Equine Athlete'.
Topics to be covered should be of relevance to those with thoroughbred and / or sport horse interests. Dr Annette Longland, Equine Livestock Nutrition Services, Wales will speak on 'Feeding quality forage to Performance Horses'. Mr Hugh Suffern, will discuss 'Developments in diagnostic techniques for the Equine Athlete'. Mr Dermot Forde, will speak on 'Drugs and the performance horse' while Mr Andrew Oliver will talk about 'Getting the Performance Horse fit'.
Admission to the conference is free.
Those planning to attend should complete a registration form. Conference registration forms should be returned to John Cassidy at Enniskillen Campus by Friday 9 March 2012.
