Northern Ireland wool producers will be voting for a regional member of the British Wool Marketing Board following the receipt of two candidates names.

The current member of the Board, Ian Buchanan, of Dungiven will be contesting the election against Brendan Kelly, of Ballymena.

Voting papers will be sent to all registered producers on Thursday next, February 23 2012, and they must be returned to the Independent Returning Officer by 6 pm on Thursday, March 15 2012.

The term of office for each Board Member is three years, commencing April 1 2012.
