Driver injured in freak accident

A lorry driver is in a serious condition in Cavan General Hospital after he was injured in what is thought to have been a freak accident on the Dublin road at Belturbet today (Wednesday).

Unconfirmed reports suggest he got out of his cab and got underneath to look at something and may have been hit by his own lorry moving forward.
