Show season starts with Balmoral in four months

It might be less than four months away but the countdown has already begun for this year's Balmoral Show organised by the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society.
Getting plans for this year's underway was the announcement that Ulster Bank will be the principal sponsor of the show for 2012 . Right; Ian Jordan, Ulster Bank's head of business and commercial banking; Colin McDonald, chief executive of the RUAS and Cormac McKervey, Senior Agriculture Manager, Ulster Bank set the scene for this year's event being held on May 16-18.
Ian Jordan and Cormac McKervey helped get plans for this year's show underway with RUAS Chief Executive, Colin McDonald, at a special breakfast event in the King's Hall Complex Conference Centre.
Mr. Jordan says: "Ulster Bank has been involved in the Balmoral Show for many years, and became the show's first ever principal sponsor in 2009. We are delighted to have been able to build on the success of our partnership with the RUAS each year, and are confident that this year's show will be another fantastic showcase for the farming and food sectors in Northern Ireland, as well as a popular family occasion," he adds.
Colin McDonald welcomed Ulster Bank's continued support for the Show: "We are delighted with the ongoing partnership between Ulster Bank and the RUAS over the last four years. We look forward to continuing this partnership as it goes from strength to strength."
Ulster Bank's Senior Agricultural Manager, Cormac McKervey, says: "The Balmoral Show allows us an unparalleled opportunity to communicate our strong commitment to the agri-food sector and to build relationships with farmers and food businesses.
