Uk stockjudging winner is new young breeders' judge
Sandra Cochrane, Chairman of the NI Charolais Club with Stuart Wilson, winner of the UK Stockjuding Competition.
A Fermanagh man, Stuart Wilson from Aghyoule, Derrylin will act as judge at the Charolais Young Breeders Stock Judging Competition on March 1 2012 at Dungannon Mart. The event starts at 8pm.
An excellent line up of quality stock is expected as they will be chosen from the entries for the special Charolais sale the following day.
Stuart, a UK winner last year won a trip to France as part of his prize.
A spokesman for the Northern Ireland Charolais Club says Stuart, a Charolais breeder is capable of judging and giving useful tips to all the young people who enter the competition. In the under 30 year age group, those gaining the highest points will be selected to make up the qualifying teams to travel to the UK finals where the competition will be staged at The Royal Highland Show in June. There will also be the popular open section for over 30 years. The winners in each section will be presented with the Miller & McAllister Shields.
