The Commission on Catholic Education has released a report confirming the closure of a St. Mary's Brollagh, it is being reported.

Other schools outside Fermanagh are also among the number to be closed.

The report also recommends the amalgamation of others, including grammar and secondary schools.

The Commission has been working on the report since 2006, on the basis there are too many schools and too few pupils to make economic and educational sense.

There is no deadline for the abandoning academic selection.
