Early Beacom double seals points
Enniskillen Town's Darren McQuade fires a shot in at goal during his side's 2-1 win over Shelbourne at the Bawnacre on Saturday.

Two early crackers from Cathal Beacom saw Enniskillen continue their winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Shelbourne at the Bawnacre on Saturday.
Beacom struck twice with two wonderful efforts inside the opening six minutes as Rory Judge's side threatened to run riot in the early stages of the contest.
However, Shelbourne hit back from the penalty spot after 18 minutes and failed to regain the flowing football that they played in the opening quarter of an hour.
They did though hang on for the win as they maintained their seven point advantage over Lisbellaw at the top of the Mercer League although holders Lisbellaw have four games in hand with an exciting run in now in prospect as the two go head to head for the title.
"We started off brilliantly in the opening 15 minutes and we could have scored more than the two that we did get at that stage. After that though everything we tried didn't come off, it was one of those days," said Judge. "Getting the three points was the important thing though and we achieved that. I think we did enough overall to win the game and it will stand to the boys to have won another tight game."
The league leaders could not have got off to a better start to the game as they grabbed the lead after only 50 seconds.
Matthew McAuley won a corner on the right hand side which was taken short. The ball was worked to Cathal Beacom on the edge of the box and although his first shot was blocked, the rebound came back to the cultured left footer and he rattled his effort home for 1-0.
And five minutes later Town doubled their advantage with Beacom again the scorer. The midfielder picked up possession on the right hand side and drifted across the pitch, past a couple of challenges before rocketing a left footed drive to the top corner of the net.
Frank Wallace had further chances to add to the Town lead but he was denied by the Shelbourne goalkeeper when in one-on-one.
Shelbourne though were right back in the game after 18 minutes when they pulled a goal back from the penalty spot.
Malcolm Crawford was adjudged to have fouled Paul McCabe in the box and Ryan O'Sullivan stepped up to convert from the spot.
Town also saw their woodwork come to the rescue during the first half while Darren McQuade had a chance to bag a third when he rounded the Shelbourne goalkeeper only to slip his shot wide of the post.
The second half saw little in the way of goalmouth action with neither goalkeeper tested by either side although with only one goal between them there was always the threat to Town that Shelbourne would grab an equaliser.
Judge's side though managed to see out the game to claim the points and they will hope to net another win this Saturday when they travel to Fintona.
