If you are still finding it hard to break out of the January blues then a night of comedy and mad craic at one of Conal Gallen's shows at the Ardhowen is the place to be - well that's what the Fermanagh people must be thinking anyway because both shows are already sold out, even with an extra night being added! 'On Tour 2012 Conal Gallen Laughin' All Over The World' is on Thursday 26 January at 8pm and Friday 27 January at 8pm if you are one of the lucky ones who got a ticket already.

Following on the next night is the ever popular silky voice of Brendan Shine with compere Sean Wallace and special guests Ally Harron and Marion Curry. Also included in the line up on Saturday 28 January at 8pm is Brendan's daughter Emily along with little Johnny Dawson. Tickets are selling fast, so do check with the Box Office for availability.

To start off February there is a daytime show especially for our younger generation - upwards of four years old - with the colourful tale of 'Aladdin' on Wednesday 1 February at10.30am. Interested local primary schools should telephone the Box Office for more details.

The first weekend in February is jam packed with three more shows starting off with 'Tim McGarry's Political Party' on Thursday 2 February at 8pm, 'Hugo Duncan's Country 1st' on Friday 3 February at 8pm and 'Fine Girl Ye Are', the legendary story of The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem on Saturday 4 February at 8pm.

An Evening With

Brendan Shine

The ever popular silky voice of Brendan Shine with compere Sean Wallace and special guests Ally Harron and Marion Curry take to the stage on Saturday 28 January at 8pm. Also included in the line up is Brendan's daughter Emily along with little Johnny Dawson.

After his previous Ardhowen sell-out, Brendan is back again so that you can sit back and enjoy another evening with Ireland's top tv, radio and recording star. Performing live for four decades now with hits such as 'Do You Want Your Old Lobby Washed Down', 'Catch Me if You Can', 'My Name is Dan', 'The Village Where I Went to School', 'Shoe the Donkey', 'Grandad' and many more, an evening with Brendan is an evening to savour.

Aladdin

Suitable for children over the age of four, 'Aladdin' is on Wednesday 1 February at 10.30am and is a colourful tale from the Arabian Nights set in the Middle East, a place of mystery, enchantment and strange, mythical creatures. Large scale contemporary Shadow Puppet theatre tells of a poor street boy who falls hopelessly in love with a Royal Princess. What magic would he need just to see her again? Follow his wild and dangerous adventures as he gets caught up in excitement way beyond his control.

Tim McGarry's

Political Party

Following the huge success of 'Tim McGarry's Irish History Lesson' the lanky guru is back with a new one-man stand-up show. This time Tim has set his satirical sights on all things political.

Tim McGarry's Political Party is a hilarious fun packed examination of how we do politics here. And he takes a sharp look at our politicians and their contribution to making Northern Ireland the superb place it is today. Is it time for a new Party? Would you Vote McGarry? Maybe not, but you will be laughing at this sharp, scathing and side-splitting show which gives our politicians all the respect they so richly deserve. The show is on Thursday 2 February at 8pm.

Hugo Duncan's Country 1st

One of the best country music shows around can be seen on Friday 3 February at 8pm . . . fuelled by Hugo Duncan's boundless energy and fun. The wee man from Strabane gives you a great night of foot stomping country music with a host of stars including Box Car Brian 'Scania 143', Trionagh Allen 'Walking on the Moon', the fiddling sensation Ritchie Remo, the yodelling gentleman of country Kenny Archer singing classic old time country and the velvet voice of Frankie McBride singing his hits including 'Five Little Fingers' and 'Burning Bridges'.

Fine Girl Ye Are

The legendary story of The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem

'Fine Girl Ye Are' is a two and a half hour show that tells the amazing story of the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem, from their origins in rural Ireland to international stardom as Ireland's greatest folk and ballad group. This production contains all the greatest hits from these iconic musicians including 'Brennan on the Moor', 'The Holy Ground', 'Will Ye Go', 'Lassie', 'Go', 'The Parting Glass' and a host of others sung and performed by a group of musicians who are well known for their incredible musical ability and high energy shows - The Kilkenny's. Narrated by Cathal McCabe, 'Fine Girl Ye Are' will take the audience on this legendary journey with the incredible songs and unforgettable humour of the most iconic folk group of all time on Saturday 4 February at 8pm.

A selection of other fabulous shows coming up at the Ardhowen in February include 'Melmoth The Wanderer' based on the first ever horror novel, 'Equus' a drama inspired by a true story and 'The Winslow Boy' a play which is also based on a true story.

Information and booking about all the many other shows on offer can be found at www.ardhowentheatre.com, as well as booking for all the shows. The theatre can also be found on Facebook.
