There is more excitement at the Ardhowen this week as it was announced that the talented 'Jack Dee - Work In Progress' show is taking to the stage in May as an additional event, but unfortunately for those people still looking for tickets, the show is already sold out.

Before that show takes to the stage though, there is plenty of choice for everyone even if you just look at the next few weeks of February. Starting with, for three nights this week, Enniskillen Amateur Dramatic Society presents 'The Winslow Boy' by Terence Rattigan which is based on a true story just before the First World War and guarantees its audience an evening of compelling drama.

Next week you have a choice of The Love Tour with Justin McGurk on Thursday evening or another drama 'Melmoth The Wanderer' presented by Big Telly Theatre Company on Friday evening.

The Winslow Boy

Enniskillen Amateur Dramatic Society presents the compelling drama 'The Winslow Boy' by Terence Rattigan over three nights on Thursday 9, Friday 10 and Saturday 11 February at 8pm.

'The Winslow Boy' is considered by some to be Rattigan's finest work. It is set just before the First World War and is a play which provides a detailed insight into the social attitudes of the 20th Century. Set against the strict codes of conduct and manners of the age, it is based on a father's fight to clear his son's name after the boy is expelled from Osborne Naval College for stealing a five-shilling postal order from a fellow cadet.

To clear the boy's name was imperative for the family's honour. The boy's father, believing his son's innocence, fights for 'right to be done', in the process destroying his own health and wealth.

The case however is thwarted from the very beginning due to the impossibility of taking action against the Crown. Osborne's inclusion as part of the Royal Navy meant that this was of a particular focus to the Winslow Case.

The only other option is to acquire a Petition of Right, hoping that it will be granted and then taken to court. It is the father's fight to 'Let right be done' that captivates and enthrals the audience, as well as the family's adamant struggle for truth in the face of injustice.

Justin McGurk In Concert - The Love Tour

Justin McGurk In Concert - The Love Tour with special guests Sean Corrigan and John Farry is on Thursday 16 February at 8pm.

Justin's voice has been described as 'cool country with an edge, blending the old, the new and the unexplored'.

He has shared the stage in Nashville and toured the UK and Ireland with the likes of Nancy Griffith, Hal Ketchum, Collin Raye, Bonnie Tyler and The Proclaimers as well as performing on TG4's Glor Tire.
